More about Balki
1/31/26 Still available! 1/8/26 Balki is a super sweet and loving boy who is good with everyone-cats, dogs, and kids. He is fully house trained and crate trained. He weighs 40 lbs. We do not know his breed but our best guess is Lab mix. He has long legs and a slim build. He loves other dogs and does well with cats. Great with kids! He is about 6 months old. He had a very hard start in life. He was in a shelter where he contracted parvo virus and barely survived. But he fought hard to live and he won! He beat the dreaded parvo and is now regaining weight and doing so well! He is a great little guy who likes everyone. We believe he may have been dumped before he ended up at the shelter because he is scared of cars. When walking on leash, if he is near a car or truck, he gets visibly scared and will try to pull away. Once he is inside the car he does fine. He just has some emotional scars that are still healing. But he's getting better all the time, thanks to a foster helping him feel safe. He will likely be a big boy once grown. He is a little delayed in his growth due to having parvo, but he will catch up soon. We believe he will be around 60 lbs once grown. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Balki is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays.
