More about GATORADE
02/25/26 11:33 Noted to be friendly outside of kennel but is having increasing FAS in kennel. Placed on needs rescue to due increasing FAS in kennel. 02/24/26 14:38 MHMeet Gatorade, a 6-year-old neutered male with a gentle heart whoâs just waiting for the chance to feel safe and understood. In his kennel, Gatorade has been observed lying down and trembling, appearing a bit overwhelmed by the shelter environment. Even so, he allows himself to be leashed easily and walks out without issue. He permits full handling and shows no resistance, quietly cooperating every step of the way. His softness and tolerance speak volumes about his kind nature.Once out in the courtyard, a different side of Gatorade begins to shine through. He approaches his handler and willingly accepts pets, leaning into gentle affection. Away from the noise and stress of the kennel, he seems more present and receptive. When itâs time to return, he goes back into his kennel without difficulty.Gatorade would truly benefit from spending more time outside of a kennel setting and in a quiet, low-stress home. The shelter environment appears to leave him feeling shut down, and he would do best with a patient, committed adopter or rescue who can give him the time, consistency, and reassurance he needs to decompress and build confidence. With compassion and stability, Gatorade has the potential to blossom into a deeply loyal and loving companion.02/09/26What did we do on todayâs adventure:I was still getting out of bed when I was told Iâm going out on a trip with my new human friend! I sat nicely to be harnessed and I didnât have any problems jumping into my ride! I was nervous during the car ride as I couldnât put my head out of the window but when I arrived at the park, I was so excited to see and smell the fresh green grass! There were squirrels and birds during my hike and I got a little excited but my human friend said itâs not nice to chase them so I left them alone. I tried my best to finish a 5 mile hike but I had a few stops along the way as I was thirsty and a wee bit tired. There were a few barky dogs that I encountered along the way that I did not appreciate. I stopped to look at them but I did not react. I wanted to jump into the lake whenever I had the opportunity to but I was held back from my human friend from going too deep in case I didnât know how to swim. Yikes! Instead I end up soaking all my four limbs in the water. I love it! At the end of my outing, my human friend and I sat down to enjoy the sun and grass before we make our way back. I had fun rolling in the grass, leaned in and gave many kisses to my human friend. I had so much fun onmy first hike and I hope to do it again, hopefully often with my furever familyâ¦What should potential adopters know about me:Gatorade is the loyaland loving companion youâll ever need. He is a house hippo who enjoys lounging next to you while you watch TV or a water hippo who enjoys a splash in the pool when heâs outdoors! Gatorade is dependable, strong and knows a few tricks or two like sit and paw. He is extremely treat motivated. He can sometimes get nervous meeting other higher energy dogs and would appreciate patience and understanding from his handler. He is affectionate and will seek petting when he is comfortable with his handler.Three words to describe me:Affectionate, strong, curious
