Hi, my name is Astrid. When life gets bumpy for the two-legged folks in this world, sometimes the four-legged critters feel it too! My human parents had some struggles and asked a friend to keep me safe while they worked things out. Things didn't go as planned and they weren't able to keep me. So, for me, sometimes you are just a victim of your circumstances. My foster parents really love me but they have other cats. They know that I need to have a better life where I can be the only cat - I actually do better with humans. They asked SCC to see if there is a nice senior person that might need some companionship. I love attention and would be a great lap cat. I don't have any experience with young kids and probably would do better with older kids that understand and can read "cat signs". I can get over stimulated and sometimes play rough or nip. It is never malicious or angry. I don't have any dog experience, so lets skip that! I have lived an indoor life and that suits me just fine. I will be brought current on vaccines and microchipped as a part of the adoption process and I am very good with the litterbox.
