Fritz is a tiny 5‑pound Yorkie with a big heart and the sweetest, most easygoing personality. As a senior gentleman, he’s calm, gentle, and happiest when he’s being held or curled up in someone’s lap. He’s a true companion dog—quiet, affectionate, and content simply being near his people. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, including kids, adults, dogs, and even cats. He doesn’t play with toys and isn’t very food‑motivated, but he absolutely loves cuddling and soaking up affection. His low energy level makes him an ideal match for someone looking for a peaceful, loving little shadow. Fritz is almost potty trained and does well on a consistent schedule. He’s crate trained, though he may have accidents in the crate, so continued routine and patience will help him succeed. He walks nicely on a leash and doesn’t require a fenced yard—he’s perfectly happy going out for short potty breaks and then heading right back inside to relax. He’s hypoallergenic, apartment‑friendly, and wonderful for seniors or anyone wanting a calm, gentle companion. He also does well with other friendly dogs but doesn’t require one in the home as long as his humans are around often. Fritz is a soft, snuggly, loving little guy who just wants to be held and adored. He’s the perfect companion for someone who wants a quiet, loyal, deeply affectionate dog to share their days with. Whoever adopts him will gain a devoted little friend who brings warmth and comfort wherever he goes. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
