Twiggy has an incredible story of resilience—coming to us as a cruelty case severely underweight, he’s made an amazing recovery and is now ready to find the loving home he deserves. In foster, Twiggy has shown himself to be a social, happy guy who truly enjoys life. He loves people, does great with kids, and is very dog-friendly, happily engaging with playful pups while easily ignoring dogs who aren’t interested. He’s fully housebroken, rides well in the car, and is just as content exploring the outdoors as he is soaking up attention—sometimes even trying to climb right into your lap when he’s feeling extra affectionate!Twiggy is still building confidence in some areas and will thrive with a family committed to continuing his progress. He’s improving on leash and can handle busier environments for shorter periods, but may get overwhelmed with too much stimulation. He’s a curious, scent-driven boy who enjoys exploring and will need durable toys to match his “destroyer of stuffies” reputation, along with a watchful eye to keep him from chewing on things like branches or getting into the trash. Overall, Twiggy is a fun, loving companion who will do best in a home that can offer structure, enrichment, and plenty of opportunities for adventure and connection.
