SIREN at a Glance
More about SIREN
Siren came to the shelter on 7/2/25 after kind citizens tried for several days to locate her owners. Initially, she was fearful and trembled easily, especially around men, where she would offer warning growls or snaps if approached, though she was comfortable with women and other dogs. Since being in care, Siren has made positive progress and is now comfortable with both male and female staff, volunteers and everyone else she has met at events. In playgroup, she may be nervous at first but warms up appropriately and enjoys spending time in the yard playing with other dogs.In her foster home, Siren has shown herself to be a wonderful house companion. She is potty trained, easy to walk on leash, and does well with small dogs and cats. She enjoys being around people and can be left unsupervised in the home. She would do better in a home with a fenced in yard as she prefers to potty off lead. Siren does experience storm anxiety and has difficulty settling during thunderstorms, so she will need a home prepared to help her feel safe during severe weather. With continued patience, routine, and support, Siren will make a loving and loyal companion in the right home.
