  Kelly is the undeniable life of the party, the kind of dog who enters a room like she’s kicking open saloon doors and announcing that fun has officially arrived. She’s a young, busy girl with a heart full of joy and legs full of zoomies. If there’s another dog around, she’s ready to wrestle, chase, or initiate a spontaneous backyard Olympics. Her enthusiasm is so big that her entire body gets involved—she doesn’t just wag her tail, she wiggles from nose to toes like she’s made of pure happiness. She loves treats, toys, snacks, games, and basically anything that can be classified under the general theme of fun. And even though she’s a high-energy goofball when she’s playing, she settles beautifully in her crate and sleeps through the night like a well-behaved angel who just happens to be disguised as a tornado when she’s awake. She walks on a leash with the enthusiasm of someone late for a very important party, but she’s learning quickly and improving every day. Kelly is friendly, affectionate, silly, and ready to make every day feel like a celebration. She’d love a yard to zoom around in but doesn’t require one as long as her humans help her get her energy out. Because she’s a jumpy, excited girl, she’d do best with older kids who won’t mind her enthusiastic greetings. She’s the perfect mix of playful and sweet, a joyful whirlwind who will wiggle her way into your heart and never leave. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
