More about Flint & Amber
Hi there… I’m Flint. Sometimes, when the house is quiet and the stars peek through the window, I like to sit by the glass and make a wish. I’m not quite sure how wishing works, but I figure if I wish hard enough, maybe my forever family will hear me. Not too long ago, I was all alone at the shelter — a little bengal tabby boy with big eyes, a shy heart, and feelings too big for such a loud place. New situations still make me nervous, but back then, everything felt overwhelming. Then something wonderful happened: they put me in a kennel with two other kittens, Jasper and Amber. Suddenly, I wasn’t alone anymore. Amber and I leaned into each other, huddled close, shared our purrs, and felt brave together. She makes me feel safe, and I think I do the same for her. We’ve been best friends ever since. Now I’m in a foster home, and every day feels a little brighter. I’m still bashful for a couple of days, but once I feel safe? Oh boy — that’s when you meet the real me. I’m a chunky, cuddly young man who wants all the attention. I love laps, I love being close, and I’m happiest when I’m soaking up pets like I’ve been waiting my whole life for them (because… I kind of have). We both enjoy peeking under our door to hear the dogs play. We are getting used to all of the new sounds. They do sound a little crazy. My foster says I’m a “cutie patootie,” which I’m pretty sure means my soft fur, round little body, and loud purrs are doing exactly what they’re supposed to do. I especially love to have my tummy rubbed! I have the fuzziest fur there and you can really see my spots. I also do this trick when I can lay my tail flat across my back. My foster says that's an interesting look. Not sure if that's good or bad. I like to lay stretched out across the floor like the sexy boy that I am but Amber keeps photo bombing me! I’m about seven to eight months old, full of sweetness, gentle affection, and quiet hope. Amber and I would really love our forever home together — we lean on one another, comfort each other, and make the perfect pair. We would really love a calm home. With patience, love, and a little time, I promise we’ll fill your home with warmth, cuddles, and a whole lot of heart. So tonight, when I look up at that same little star, I’ll keep wishing —wishing that somewhere out there, someone is wishing for us too.
