03/30/26 15:21 CASay hello to Zara!She is a stunning 4-year-old German Shepherd with a rich red coat and a heart full of potential. At 4 years old, she’s already incredibly smart and eager to please—she knows commands like sit, stay, down, shake (with both paws!). She has been working on re call and mastered the command `drop it` for when she is playing fetch. Like many dogs adjusting to the shelter life, Zara has experienced moments of confusion. Beneath it all is a devoted dog who simply wants to be loved and be part of a home. She is looking for a confident, patient, and experienced handler. Someone who can provide the structure, leadership, and activity she thrives on, like ball herding, fetch or water playing!Zara is very fun, and would make a great adventure partner but also has an excellent `off switch`, happily settling down to relax by your side. She became very quickly a favorite to bring into the office. If you are looking for an office buddy, Zara is your girl. She also, has been making steady progress with dog social skills. She does best with calm, confident dogs that would correct her if neccesary but also give her the space she needs. Come to the shelter to meet Zara at the shelter.
