Casper was found as a stray in Puerto Rico, but it’s clear he once belonged to a home. He is fully housebroken, understands basic commands, and carries himself with the manners of a dog who knows what it means to be part of a family. True to his Chihuahua roots, Casper is smart, loyal, and a little opinionated. He is selective with both people and other dogs, so he’s looking for a calm, understanding home that will respect his boundaries. Because of his preferences, we believe Casper may do best in a female-only home or with a single, experienced adult who understands the Chihuahua personality. Once Casper chooses you, his personality truly shines. He is incredibly engaging, playful, and fun, with a soft side he shares once he feels safe and secure. He’s a handsome little guy who enjoys squeaky toys and loves interactive play with his chosen person. Casper may not be the right fit for everyone, but for the right foster or adopter, he will be a deeply devoted and rewarding companion.
