More about Sophie Steward

Sophie wants to come relax on your sofa! Sophie was found outside, with kids throwing sticks at her while she was stuck on a fence. We are so happy she's safe now.  Sophie is a beautiful, very petite dilute calico with stunning markings, a long tail, and soulful yellow eyes. She is very talkative and can engage in whole conversations about everything from the weather to current events. She is a sweet girl, surprisingly confident in new situations but needs patience to form a bond with new people. Due to her past trauma, she can get overstimulated (tortietude!) so needs brief petting sessions, and she need someone who understands cat behavior to know when she's done being petted.  She enjoys looking out the window, catching sunbeams on her fur, and scratching her scratching pad. She has a healthy appetite and is generally calm and well-suited to life indoors. This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
