More about Louis

Louis is one of four cats—along with Autumn, Freddie, and Latte—who were surrendered together to a crowded NYC shelter before coming into our care. This little group clearly shares a deep bond and genuinely loves each other, but they’re also independent and cat-social. While we’d love to see them adopted in pairs or together, we’re also open to single adoptions, as they’re all well-adjusted and do not rely on each other to thrive.Louis is a gentle, sensitive soul. Though a bit shy at first, he’s sweet and calm—happiest when he can curl up somewhere quiet and watch the world go by. With patience and a gentle approach, he’ll become a deeply devoted companion.Louis is FIV+, and he has had most of his teeth removed due to severe dental issues. While he’s currently in good health and adjusting well, he may need special care long-term due to both his FIV status and dental history. He would thrive in a peaceful home—ideally with one of his familiar feline friends or another mellow, understanding cat.
