More about BARRETT

If you are looking for a fun (and mildly goofy), energetic buddy to take walks with and/or snuggle on the couch- Barrett is your guy!  Barrett is a 5 year old (approximately) 60 pounds (but could use to gain a few pounds) shepherd mix who loves people and is generally uninterested in other animals- dogs, squirrels and, as of this morning, turkeys!!  He is house and crate trained, rides beautifully in the car, walks well on the leash (but has bouts of exuberance  sometimes) and is a big fan of belly rubs.    Barrett is working on his house manners-- he knows "sit" and is learning to take treats gently but needs some reminding that the food on the kitchen counter isn't usually meant for him, and that it's acceptable to greet someone without putting his front paws on their shoulders.  He is easily and sweetly corrected though and would love to show you how quickly he can learn.
