****COURTESY POST**** Meet Winston! This resilient, loyal, and reserved boy is around 4 years old and weighs around 40 lbs. He was found in an abusive situation where he was chained to a wall and was severely neglected. Due to a lack of shelter space, Puppy Promise took him into their program. Winston would thrive with a patient family who is kind and could continue his training, providing positive redirected behaviors. Winston has the most gentle eyes that you'll fall in love with, and he deserves a second chance at life. Bearing in mind all the abuse Winston has endured, Winston is such a lovable dog who wants the kindness of his humans. He is crate-trained, enjoys his meals in there, and feels safe. He is neutral towards dogs his size, preferring the company of another independent canine friend. He is working on his leash skills.
