MEET JANET: A shy girl with a heart worth waiting for! Janet turned ONE in January… and while she spent her birthday at the rescue kennel, we know her next one could look very different—with you! Janet is a gentle, sensitive soul. The world can feel big and scary to her, so she’ll need a patient home that understands she’s still learning to be brave. New places? Nervous. New people? Takes time. But here’s the beautiful part… Once Janet trusts you, she loves deeply. The kind of love that feels earned. The kind that makes every small breakthrough feel like magic.  She’s a “flight, not fight” kind of girl—zero aggression, just a tender heart trying to figure things out. And when she’s not working on her confidence? She’s a full-on water goofball.  Kiddie pools, buckets, splashing around—Janet turns into a total joy-filled lunatic when water is involved. It’s her happy place, and honestly, it’s impossible not to smile watching her. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.
