Dexter is a big, handsome Hound/Border Collie mix with a striking coat of black, white, and tan that turns heads wherever he goes. At about 3 years old, he still has plenty of playful puppy spirit and is a fun, entertaining companion to have around.Currently thriving in a foster home with several other dogs, Dexter enjoys canine companionship and has proven to have excellent house manners. Though he was found as a stray, he settled into home life beautifully. He's great on a leash and loves getting out and about, making him an ideal partner for hikes, walks, and outdoor adventures.As you'd expect from a Border Collie mix, Dexter is incredibly smart. He picks up commands quickly, loves having a job to do, and enjoys both mental and physical activity. After a day of fun, though, he's just as happy to relax and soak up some cuddle time with his people.Dexter can be a little unsure of new people and isn't a fan of vet visits, so he'll do best with a family that understands he may need a little extra time and patience in unfamiliar situations.
