Meet Sparkles: A shining star looking for her forever home! Hey there! I’m Sparkles, and I am just as bright as my name suggests. I’m an adorable 11-month-old, 45 pound, ball of energy with a heart full of love. I’m playful, affectionate, and ready to bring tons of happiness into your life   I’m still considered a puppy, so I have plenty of energy to keep you on your toes. If you are on the couch I love to jump up and cuddle with you. I’m extremely smart and pick up on training and activities very quickly. I am also very eager to learn and look to my foster mom for direction. I had a rough start in life until I was rescued by Freedom German Shepherd Rescue. I remember being rescued from the shelter by some nice people who drove me to meet my foster mom. I now receive lots of love and attention. I am a very shy puppy, and I will need extra time to adjust to my forever home. I learned at an early age this life is not always safe, so I am fearful of strangers, until I get to know them. I am looking for a forever home that will provide me with love and patience until I can adjust to their routine and environment. I get along great with other dogs and enjoy playing, almost constantly, with my foster siblings. I love to run, run, run! My foster mom laughs at me and says I have springs in my feet because I bounce around while running. Due to having “springs on my feet”, I will require a 6 foot fence. I enjoy playing with toys and I play tug of war with my foster brother. My ideal home would be one that has another dog, preferably a male, who can help me develop more confidence in myself and learn the world is not always a dangerous place. I also get along well with cats. I walk very well on leash and look forward to taking casual walks or hiking with my forever family. I am completely housebroken and understand appropriate indoor behaviors. I  am   completely crate trained and have learned my crate is my safe space when I am uncertain as to my environment or those around me. I am very inquisitive and will rummage if not properly supervised. My foster mom said to tell you to watch out for your hairbrush disappearing LOL... I enjoy “spa days” and do extremely well for my baths. I love oatmeal and lavender shampoo as well as having my face washed with a washcloth. I am a little spoiled, but I am learning that I am supposed to be. I am just a girlie-girl who loves to be pampered.  If my forever home has children, I prefer them to be older and already have the knowledge needed to recognize when to respect my boundaries. Additionally, loud noises and sudden movements with small, active children may send me running for the hills. However, once I am acclimated to my forever home's children, I will always be their best friend. Interested in making me a part of your family?
