When the room is quiet and it’s just you (or you + one trusted sidekick), Charo transforms from “mysterious shadow in the corner” to “professional chaos goblin.” Food time is Charo’s red-carpet moment. That’s when the silly comes out: he chirps, trills, and does dramatic full-body stretches like he’s auditioning for a lasagna commercial. Reach down during this sacred ritual and (jackpot!) he’ll lean into pets, head-butt your hand, and purr like a tiny motorcycle. Outside of breakfast and dinner? He’s still deciding if hands are friend-shaped. We’re getting there, one treat at a time. Toys are his love language. Give this boy a spring, a crinkle ball, or (his favorite) anything with a bell inside, and he turns into a parkour champion. He also hosts nightly zoomie parties with his best friends Hallow and Eve. The three of them thunder around the adoption room after hours like a tiny black-cat motorcycle gang. (He’s fully vetted as cat-friendly and would love a playful buddy in his new home.) Picking up? Not on the menu yet. Charo prefers all four paws on the ground, thank you very much. He’s still convinced being lifted is some kind of alien abduction scenario. Charo is looking for a patient, cat-savvy person who understands that some kitties just need a small guest list to shine. Give him a calm home, a predictable routine, a playmate (or two!), and plenty of 2 a.m. play sessions, and he’ll reward you with goofy chirps, dramatic flops, and the slow, steady bloom of trust that makes every new head-butt feel like winning the lottery.
