Meet Joss. Joss, a quiet, easygoing girl with a soft heart and a peaceful presence and a love for sweaters. She’s happiest when she has a cozy spot to nap and someone nearby, she trusts. Joss truly enjoys being petted and spending time with her people, but she’s also wonderfully independent. She doesn’t demand attention — she simply appreciates it, leaning in gently and then settling close by, content just to share the space with you. Joss gets along well with other cats and doesn’t mind respectful dogs, but she’d also do just fine as the only pet in the home. At about 2–3 years old, she’s past the busy kitten phase and ready for a calm, steady forever home. She’s the kind of cat who brings comfort to your life — the soft purr beside you at the end of the day. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion to share your home and your heart, Joss is your girl. Her adoption fee is $145.00  Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org Paws and Prayers cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (neg), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litter box trained unless otherwise noted. Please be aware we do not walk around standing & holding our shelter cats - this is unnatural to them, and we like to keep them as comfortable as possible.  Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.  Resident pets of all applicants must have had routine veterinary care, be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines per the recommendations of your vet, current on heartworm tests and prevention (dogs only). We will verify these records; giving your veterinarian permission to speak with us will help expedite the processing of your application.  Should your pet have a medical issue that may prohibit any of these, please note that on your application and we will also verify this with your veterinarian. Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.
