More about Willow
Forever home wanted! Meet Willow. Willow came into the rescue in January of 2025. She was found abandoned in a field in Bakersfield in November of 2024. No one really knows how long she was there. Luckily, she was spotted by some farm workers who let some good Samaritans know she looked like she may be pregnant. Sure enough, they searched through darkness to find her where she had dug a hole under some wood pallets and gave birth to 13 puppies! A wonderful person fostered the family until we could move them south and get them into homes. All of Willow's puppies have been adopted, now it's her turn. Willow is super loving and playful. She is currently fostered with three other large dogs; they are great friends that play really well together. Willow can be a little skittish when she first meets new people, but she will warm up. We've seen many dogs like Willow that can come around and be a wonderful companion. She'll need someone who is patient and willing to allow her time to come around. Understandably, she needs to learn to trust again which we know she can. We are working on building her confidence and she is coming around great. She loves her walks and knows what the leash means when she sees it! If Willow sounds like a dog you'd be interested in meeting, please fill out an application at labradorsandfriends.org. Willow is located in Southern California.
