More about Willow

Breed: Doberman Pinscher / Poodle (medium and standard) / German Shepherd / Golden Retriever / White Swiss Shepherd DOB: 12/2018 Gender: female Altered: yes Coat: medium Size: large Color(s): black / red brown Description:***Needs a Foster Home***This dog is in need of a foster home as well as a permanent home. If you are interested in fostering, please fill out an online foster application. Hi, I'm Willow, my Wisdom DNA results are in and I’m 53% Doberman Pinscher, 20% Poodle (medium and standard), 18% German Shepherd, 6% Golden Retriever and 3% White Swiss Shepherd. And, to top that off, I am clear for MDR1 medication sensitivity which means I have no genetic disposition to drug sensitivities and can safely receive standard medications. I’m loving, gentle, smart, loyal and a 100% good dog looking for my forever home as my owner can no longer afford to take care of me. I'm a great family dog and would do well in a home with children over the age of six due to my size as I sometimes jump up when excited. I have spent most of my life in a loving family environment, and I yearn for a family to call my own again. I would like a home where someone is around most of the day, as I suffer from separation anxiety and get lonely easily and that is just because I want to be near you. I will jump the fence if left alone in the backyard and will go exploring if a door is left open. I’m housebroken, crate trained, love car rides, I walk quite well on a leash and listen and look to you for direction. I’m gentle with treats and have no food or toy aggression.I know several commands: sit, down, speak, shake, stay and play dead - and I know I could learn more. I enjoy going on walks, playing fetch and tug-of-war and laying in the sun. I'm not a fan of bikes, skateboards or motorcycles; but I have gone offsite with volunteers and they are helping desensitize me to these things and they are also introducing me to stores and restaurants.Although I was ok with the other dogs at a mobile I went to, I would prefer to be the only dog and only pet in the home as I can be anxious around other dogs and I'm not good with cats.I am the perfect companion for anyone looking for an affectionate and playful dog. I can't wait to meet my new family! If you're interested in meeting me, please fill out an online application.*Thank you to Sharon for sponsoring this wonderful dog at the Burnice Kraemer Sanctuary and giving her the chance for a better life.
