More about Elsa
Elsa is such a little lady and is full grown! She was originally completely shut down at a high kill shelter in the Central Valley. She was scheduled to be put to sleep, but NorSled swooped in to save her. Now with the help of her foster family and siblings, she's really coming out of her shell! At recent adoption events, she was shy at first but then by the end she let many people pet her, was going up to strangers, and taking treats. She is living proof of what a supportive environment can do for a rescued dog. You have the chance to be the hero of her story, giving her the happy ending she’s been waiting for since her days alone in the kennel. Elsa is house trained, crate-trained, and very comfortable around other dogs, since she is in a foster home with many! She's slowly learning basic commands, but thankfully she is treat-motivated (for the specific treats she likes). She would do best in a quieter home with another confident dog or two. If you want a husky but aren't ready for the challenge, this very sweet petite girl could be just what you need.
