More about Buster
Update: Buster is proving to be a very well-behaved and friendly boy. He has adjusted beautifully to his foster home, following his person everywhere and happily staying close by their feet. He is house trained with no accidents, behaves wonderfully with other dogs and people, and even seems to have a calming influence on the neighbor’s constantly barking dog. When left alone, Buster does show some anxiety and may bark or howl for a bit after his person leaves. Given all that he has been through, this is understandable, and with reassurance, consistency, and love, he continues to make progress. Buster came to CTDR after his world was turned upside down. His owners passed away, and he and his brother were taken to a shelter in North Texas. After losing his family, Buster faced another heartbreak when a rescue group took his brother but left Buster behind because he was labeled a dachshund mix. Suddenly alone and confused, Buster was left wondering what he had done wrong. Thankfully, Buster is now safe with CTDR and beginning to heal. He is finishing up his vetting and is ready to find a forever home where he will never be left behind again. If you think you could be the one to give Buster the love and security he deserves, please complete an adoption application at www.ctdr.org.
