The perfect combination of active, playful and couch potato.  She is incredibly smart and enjoys learning new things. Kaia has been getting thoughtful, positive training to help her be the best companion she can be. Once she trusts you, she’s   affectionate, funny, and eager to learn . She does best with people who understand that a   gentle, predictable routine   helps her shine. Personality Loyal once bonded:   With “her” people, she can relax, take treats, sniff, and just be a dog. She loves walks and sniffing all the smells.  Smart and trainable:   She’s been making steady progress with positive reinforcement training. She is very food motivated (give her all the peanut butter!) and extremely smart.  Prefers calm environments:   A quieter home suits her better than a very busy one with constant new people. Kaia will thrive in a home that: Is   adult-only   or has   dog-savvy, calm older teens   (no young children) Is   relatively quiet   with limited unexpected visitors Is committed to   continuing her training plan   (support and notes can be provided) Has a fenced in yard for those fun play sessions Other animals: She has experience living with other dogs and may do well with   polite, stable dog companions , pending careful introductions. She would also be great as an only dog! No cats or small animals for this girl! They are way to fun to chase.  If you’re looking for a dog who will   reward your patience with deep trust , Kaia might be your girl. She isn’t a “take everywhere, meet everyone” dog—but with the right person, she can have a   rich, comfortable life   where she will make someone a great companion. Kaia’s Story  Kaia was adopted as a puppy and raised with tons of love, training, and socialization. Due to a work relocation out of the country, her family had to make the heartbreaking decision to find her a new home—but they made sure she was set up for success.    This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.
