Meet Clarabelle, a charming house hippo who was rescued from the streets of Mexico and is now searching for her forever home. At around 3.5 years old and weighing about 60 pounds, she thrives in the company of gentle dogs, especially when introduced properly, thanks to her lively personality. Clarabelle would also do best as queen of her castle, being the center of her families attention.  Clarabelle has a special fondness for children, showing remarkable gentleness even with the smallest toddlers, and she loves to cuddle on the couch, believing she’s a lap dog. While she enjoys having a yard to play in, long walks aren’t her favorite. With extensive training, she knows many commands and is highly motivated by treats, making her both house and crate trained—a perfect companion. Clarabelle is looking for a forever home that understands pit bull temperaments and can offer the time and patience she needs to thrive as a family dog. She dreams of being the queen of her castle and has even lived harmoniously with cats. Clarabelle is eager to find a foster or forever home where she can truly shine and become her best self.
