More about Baxter

Born 5-16-2022 Baxter is one of five pups that were found abandoned under a bridge near Butler OK.  Baxter has been in the shelter too long and is in need of a forever family. He is friendly with people and is curious and energetic, but due to being confined in the shelter for so long is very shy. The Catahoula breed is known for "extreme intelligence".  He needs a secure fenced yard. He is ready to be trained and will make a great companion as he is eager to please and have attention. A playmate would make his life complete. 2 years in a sanctuary makes gaining trust a process, but he would be so worth it and is very deserving of a family.
