More about Bo Nov 25
Date into Rescue: 5/8/2022 - returned December 2025 due to health of owner Reason for being in rescue: owner release/can't care for Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? yes - Bo's skin was severely damaged early on before he came to CPR. He has no hair on the bottom half of his body. It does not seem to bother him at all. Weight: est 18.7 lb Height: est 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Suburbia! Bo is looking for a great home that wants a fun kind of guy who just wants to be part of your life. He had a home and until recently, he adored his mom but things change and she could not take care of him anymore. What is my personality like? Unique. That’s our boy Bo. He’s hanging out at the Poodle farm and trying hard to figure out how all these dogs grow so much hair! He studied and studied the poodle physique and he’s finally got it half right lol. Yes, our boy has hair on top but he’s naked as a jaybird on the bottom.. Back in 2022, Bo came to us from an owner who could not take care of him. On his first day with us he was completely hairless and his skin was a hot mess. (We've left one "before" picture up on Bo's profile) It took months, but slowly we started to see a little spurts and went my goodness he can grow hair. On the bottom part of Boo’s body it is smooth, hairless skin. He needs to be protected from sunburn and scratches but otherwise requires very little care. We give him a bath occasionally and trim his hair up a little bit. When we first got him, we gave him cytopoint injections but it has been a long time since he needed those. It has been clean conditions and no grass. His skin is not exceptionally oily, and he does not have an odor. All he needs at this point is a mostly grass free life. Bo has such a fun personality. He loves belly rubs. He loves to throw himself down on a soft cushiony bed and roll and roll and act like it’s the best thing in the world. He’s currently living with a number of other dogs both large and small in an open environment and gets along very well. He is also crate trained. He loves to get out and romp in the yard and then come in and watch the world go by. Bo's story and his journey says a lot about his determination and his desire to thrive. He is a confident little man with a happy, outgoing personality. He loves adventures and enjoys being the center of attention, but he’s also wonderfully able to share the spotlight. He has lived with another dog before and would do just fine as an only dog or as a companion to another friendly pup. He enjoys playing outside with other dogs, exploring, and soaking up the fun—but Bo also knows when it’s time to rest. He loves a good nap and isn’t shy about letting you know when he’s ready to curl up and relax. He truly embodies the perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back charm. Bo walks well on a leash, though he may pull at times and could benefit from a little refresher training. He has lived in a home before and understands basic routines and manners, but like any rescue dog adjusting to a new environment, he will need patience, consistency, and gentle guidance as he settles in. Bo is ready for his next chapter—and we hope final chapter in the finding a new home departemtn- one filled with love, comfort, and companionship. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts fun, affectionate, and easygoing, Bo might just be the perfect match. How do I act when I first meet new people? Excellent - he thinks new people are cool. Other tips and tidbits: 5/8/2020 is Bo's estimated birthdate. Bo is definitely a lot of terrier. We haven’t seen him do a lot of digging so fortunately, he didn’t get that part of the terrier personality or at least we haven’t seen it, but he is strong and sturdy, and I think he would love to be someone’s hiking partner. He’s taken a gap year working on his skin and now it’s time to get back out there. He’s young, energetic, and ready to see the world. We’ve not seen Bo with kids. We have only seen him with adults. I would be concerned because he is himself still very young that if there was too much loud activity in the household, he would get very excited. I think he would be better with older kids anything over 12 or with any age adult. He’s got the most beautiful eyes, and when he looks at you, he seems to be saying how much love he’s got to give. He also told me personally he would love to go to some breweries and other outdoor activities in the downtown environment. He thinks that’s going to be the coolest thing in the world. They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and with this guy, that’s going to be true. He may not win in the long, fluffy locks contest, but he’s going to make up for it with how much love he’s going to hand out instead. We do NOT think Bo is hypoallergenic! But he is low shed. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
