More about Lexi

Meet Lexi (AMC-114-17), DOB 7/29/15.     Some cats spend their lives looking for a place to belong. Lexi thought she had found hers. Lexi first came into Cat Matchers' care when she was about two years old. After raising her kittens—all of whom found loving homes—this beautiful mama was adopted by a wonderful family of her own. She spent years loved and cherished until unforeseen circumstances made it impossible for her family to keep her. Through no fault of her own, Lexi is once again searching for a forever home. Now a graceful senior with a heart full of love, Lexi is hoping that her next chapter will truly be forever. Lexi is the definition of an easy companion. She enjoys the simple things in life—a cozy blanket, a sunny window, a soft bed at the foot of yours, and quietly keeping you company while you go about your day. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines. She isn't demanding or mischievous. In fact, she'd be a wonderful match for someone with a busy lifestyle, a retiree looking for peaceful companionship, or anyone who appreciates a calm, independent feline friend. She's perfectly content entertaining herself with the occasional toy she can bat across the room or simply watching the world outside her favorite window. When it comes to affection, Lexi definitely knows what she likes! Head scratches and gentle chin rubs will have her purring loudly with delight. She'll happily let you know she's had enough full-body pets, making her a wonderfully honest little lady. Lexi would love to be the only cat in the home so she can soak up all the love without having to share. While she can tolerate respectful children, she would be happiest in a quiet household without young or rowdy kids. Her foster mom has one amusing warning: years ago, Lexi occasionally believed any unattended dinner plate was a shared meal! She seems to have mostly retired from her "food critic" days, but a little supervision around human meals never hurts. Lexi has already experienced losing one home she loved. She deserves a family willing to give a senior cat the happy ending she's been waiting for—a home filled with soft beds, sunny naps, gentle head scratches, and someone to love for the rest of her days. Lexi is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you've been looking for a quiet, loving companion with impeccable manners and a heart ready to love again, Lexi may be waiting just for you.
