Animal Shelters in Evans, GA

Evans has two listed animal shelters and rescue organizations, in Columbia County. The mix is fairly even between rescue organizations and humane societies. Grovetown and Appling, both within about 10 miles, have listings of their own. Not many, but the ones here are ready to go home today.

Evans has two listed at the moment, and they are shown above with the ones that have photos first.

A mix of both, and the difference is worth knowing before you set out. A rescue usually places animals from a network of foster homes rather than from premises you can walk into, so you generally arrange a meeting first. A shelter or humane society more often has a facility you can visit during opening hours.

The Evans listings all fall in Columbia County, which is worth knowing if you are checking whether a shelter takes animals from your area.

If nothing here suits, Grovetown, Appling and Augusta all have listings within about 10 miles. Each one links through from the sidebar.

Every listing here carries a phone number, and some link to the organization's own website. Calling ahead is worth it — opening hours change, and rescues often work by appointment rather than keeping a building open.
