About this shelter

Greyhound Pets of America - Northern Virginia in Woodbridge, VA

Greyhound Pets of America - Northern Virginia is an animal shelter located in Woodbridge, Virginia, in Prince William County, about 25 miles east of Alexandria, VA, and shares the county with 10 other animal shelters and rescues. The organization is committed to placing retired racing greyhounds into loving forever homes and educating the public about these dogs as companions. As part of the national Greyhound Pets of America network, it works to find responsible homes for greyhounds who no longer qualify to race at tracks around the country, helping the public understand that these ex-racers make gentle, loving pets. All donations to the group go directly toward placing greyhounds in permanent homes and are fully tax-deductible.
